📋 Description

• Lead the relationship between the Major Projects Team and subcontractor base • Serve as the main procurement contact for the assigned branch office • Partner with the Major Projects Team to develop accurate installation cost models • Develop installation costing and identify and select third-party subcontractors • Manage subcontractor development, contracts, supplier relationships, price negotiations, and working capital optimization • Improve communication between Major Projects Procurement, branch offices, and Operations/Installation teams • Coordinate operational procurement activities and ensure compliance with BOS procedures and Delegation of Authority requirements • Partner with Sales during project development to own subcontractor installation pricing and determine subcontractor strategy • Review project statements of work and qualify, clarify, and level subcontractor requirements and bids • Use estimating tools to develop baseline subcontractor installation pricing for estimates potentially upwards of and above $10MM • Source third-party subcontractor quotes • Review customer documents to ensure adequate provisions are included in JCI contracts for subcontractors • Develop, host, and review RFPs • Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal customers

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years estimating experience • Electrical industry equivalent experience (Journeyman Electrician, Electrical Supervisor, Estimator, Technician, or bachelor’s degree) required • Procurement experience focused on construction/Low Voltage Electrical and services • Experience in cost analysis and strong financial knowledge • Experience utilizing estimating software such as Procore, McCormick, Archdesk, Accubid, or Bluebeam • Ability to complete take-offs to establish BOM and ROM for project installation requirements • Solid computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project • Low Voltage Electrical installation trade experience • Strong English skills required • Ability to travel, including 10% overnight travel • Ability to work effectively with Sales, Operations, suppliers, subcontractors, and teams • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Multilanguage capabilities preferred but not necessary
