📋 Description
• Conduct patient intakes after extensive evaluation by a counselor • Monitor patients’ clinical progress during regular group counseling sessions • Answer patient questions and manage medication dosing • Authorize patient prescriptions during monthly visits with patient panels • Complete notes and reporting in the Groups EMR system within the required timeline • Focus on medical management while Groups’ protocols and clinical system support patient management and regulatory compliance
🎯 Requirements
• Active, unencumbered MD/DO state license in Iowa • Active, individual DEA registration with an address listed in Iowa • Minimum 1 year direct experience prescribing Buprenorphine • Proof of completion of 8-hour training as required by the DEA for previous DEAX designation • Hospital admitting privileges required • Iowa residency required • Board Certification in Addiction Medicine preferred; other specialties welcome to apply with experience
