📋 Description
• Investigate the cause and origin of failures, damages, or defects in mechanical systems • Analyze the failure of mechanical systems and determine the cause • Perform field investigations and document damaged property • Research failure modes and provide recommendations for repair • Prepare accurate and thorough reports for clients • Participate in multidisciplinary teams on complex assignments
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering • Minimum of 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience within insurance or legal forensics • Active Professional Engineering (PE) license • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Computer skills (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) • Willingness to participate in expert witness work and provide court testimony • Must be flexible to travel and accommodate approximately 30–50% travel
