• Lead and perform complex environmental investigations, inspections, and monitoring programs related to asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and other environmental hazards • Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert for hazardous materials assessments, indoor air quality evaluations, and remediation projects • Manage field activities, including air, bulk, and surface sampling programs • Oversee and interpret environmental data, prepare technical reports, and provide recommendations to clients and project stakeholders • Direct remediation and abatement oversight activities, including contractor monitoring, final visual inspections, and clearance air sampling • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and PADEP requirements • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables • Develop and maintain client relationships through technical guidance, regulatory interpretation, and strategic consulting support • Mentor and support junior staff through field training, technical review, and professional development initiatives • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects, business development, and practice growth • Contribute to technical procedures, quality assurance programs, and best practices • Maintain and calibrate field equipment and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Kinesiology, or a related discipline • 5+ years of experience in industrial hygiene, environmental consulting, hazardous materials management, or a related field • Extensive experience conducting and managing asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality investigations • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, NJDEP, and other applicable hazardous materials regulations • Experience overseeing environmental sampling programs, including air, bulk, and surface sampling, and interpreting laboratory data • Demonstrated experience managing projects, coordinating field teams, and delivering high-quality client deliverables on schedule and within budget • Strong technical writing, report preparation, and QA/QC review experience • Ability to independently lead field investigations and travel to project sites throughout New Jersey and the surrounding Northeast region as needed • Experience serving as a client-facing consultant and providing technical recommendations to stakeholders • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record • Preferred: EPA AHERA Building Inspector and/or Management Planner accreditation • Preferred: NIOSH 582 Microscopy Course or equivalent • Preferred: OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification • Preferred: CIH, CSP, or progress toward professional certification • Preferred: New Jersey asbestos-related licenses, certifications, or accreditations • Preferred: Lead Risk Assessor, Lead Inspector, Lead Abatement Supervisor, or other applicable lead credentials • Preferred: Experience mentoring junior staff and providing technical oversight • Preferred: Experience supporting business development initiatives, proposal preparation, and client relationship management • Preferred: Experience working on complex commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, or insurance-related projects
