📋 Description
• Responsible for functions within assigned Patient Financial Services (PFS) department • Reviews research related charges and directs charges to correct financial payer source • Applies billing rules based on CMS Claims Processing guidelines • Invoices study billable services and applies standard discount • Assists study teams in understanding monthly invoices • Follows up on outstanding billing and balances owed • Receives and resolves patient billing questions and complaints • Works closely with collection agencies • Implements departmental planning and process improvements • Communicates effectively regarding sensitive financial matters
🎯 Requirements
• High School Graduate • 1 or more years of experience in customer service, claims processing, corrections, or billing. • Associates Degree in a related field of study from an accredited college or university (preferred) • 1 or more years of experience in Epic (preferred)
