📋 Description
• Ensure the proper collection, labeling, storage, and transport of samples for testing • Follow CLIA guidelines to correctly identify the patient before any specimen is obtained • Obtain the proper sample (i.e., whole blood, serum, plasma) by performing venipuncture and/or fingerstick • Label all samples with two unique identifiers • Maintain proper documentation and identification of samples for transport to the laboratory • Follow all Universal Precautions and OSHA Standards when handling biological specimens • Maintain daily tallies of collections performed
🎯 Requirements
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent • Phlebotomy Certificate (proof of certification required upon hire) • Computer and technology proficient • Must maintain a current driver’s license and clean driving record
