📋 Description

• Manage and oversee live captioning and streaming projects from conception to completion • Collaborate with broadcast, engineering, IT, and accessibility teams to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables • Lead configuration and deployment of streaming infrastructure, captioning tools, and platforms such as OBS, Wirecast, YouTube Live, Twitch, and Zoom • Ensure adherence to ADA, WCAG, and live captioning and subtitling regulations • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real time during live broadcasts • Develop and implement workflows integrating live captions, transcripts, and translations with live-streamed content • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, freelancers, and captioning service providers • Ensure projects are delivered on time and to high quality standards

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in live streaming platforms and encoders, including OBS, Wirecast, vMix, Wowza, and Restream • Knowledge of RTMP, HLS, WebRTC, and other video streaming protocols • Experience with CDN services such as Akamai and Cloudflare • Familiarity with server-side and client-side streaming architectures • Strong understanding of real-time captioning technologies, including stenography, CART, and ASR • Experience with captioning tools such as Ai-Media, EEG Falcon, CaptionSync, and StreamText, or similar software • Knowledge of SRT, VTT, and SCC caption file formats and caption positioning, timing, and quality best practices • Ability to troubleshoot audio/video quality issues, latency, synchronization problems, and captioning delays • Familiarity with video codecs, streaming resolutions, and bitrates • Knowledge of ADA, WCAG, FCC guidelines, and country-specific live captioning regulations • Experience with accessibility features including closed captions, transcripts, and audio descriptions • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work under tight deadlines • Strong communication and leadership skills • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Broadcast Engineering, Media, or related field preferred • 3+ years of experience in live streaming, captioning, or related technical project management preferred
