📋 Description

• Contribute to the creation of K-12 assessments using subject matter expertise and executing blueprints to create high-quality assessment content • Use and contribute to improvements in content and item management systems • Ensure alignment of items with state standards and item development best practices • Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to create engaging, interactive, and informative assessments • Innovate with new item types made possible by AI technologies

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in grades 3-5 ELA assessment development • 2+ years classroom experience teaching elementary school ELA • Deep pedagogical expertise and expertise in state and national standards • Focus on assessment as a positive experience integrated with learning • Motivation by the Khan Academy mission to provide a free world-class education for anyone, anywhere • Experience with collaborative work on time-sensitive projects • Interest in using new AI tools as assistants in content creation • Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail • Excellent time management skills • Proven cross-cultural competency skills • Growth mindset and curiosity to innovate • Project management skills, including fluency with Google Docs, spreadsheets, and other tools • Willingness to learn new tools • Bias to action • Passion for education and desire to change the world • Nice to have: middle school assessment experience
