• Perform and verify complex boundary analyses using relevant legal principles, statutes, and case law. • Prepare high-accuracy survey deliverables, including: ALTA/NSPS surveys, Records of Survey, Boundary and topographic surveys, Short and long plats, subdivision maps, and lot line adjustments, Easement exhibits and legal descriptions • Process and adjust GPS and conventional survey data; perform least-squares adjustments as needed. • Conduct advanced COGO calculations, coordinate geometry evaluation, and geodetic analyses. • Apply coordinate transformations, rotations, and translations across datasets. • Analyze field data, sketches, and digital records for completeness and accuracy. • Prepare drawings, mapping files, and supporting survey documents in collaboration with drafting staff. • Review deliverables prepared by Survey Technicians for accuracy and completeness. • Maintain high standards for data integrity, record documentation, and file management. • Provide technical input to improve internal standards, procedures, and workflows. • Serve as an internal technical resource for boundary resolution, geodetic analysis, and mapping standards. • Provide guidance and informal mentorship to Survey Technicians and early-career survey staff. • Participate in internal training, knowledge-sharing, and process improvement initiatives. • Support the Senior Land Survey Manager and PLS staff by contributing to QA/QC practices. • Respond to technical inquiries from clients and agencies when requested by project leadership. • Assist project teams with research into public records, deeds, dedication documents, vacation filings, and right-of-way information. • Provide technical explanations or supporting documentation as needed for client deliverables.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent years of experience in Land Surveying • 8-10+ years’ relevant survey experience • Professional Land Surveyor License (LS), preferred • Project Management experience, preferred • General knowledge of computers, Microsoft office, Adobe, Internet, Bluebeam, etc. • Proficient experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, required.
