📋 Description

• Complete monthly inspection and preventive-maintenance schedules • Perform crane and equipment inspections according to established guidelines • Document findings and make corrective recommendations, including written safety notifications when appropriate • Determine customer repair intentions and advise the local service office of actions needed to sell or complete repairs • Consult customers about repair and safety issues and discuss recommendations to improve safety and productivity during visit reviews • Identify items requiring quotation • Complete electronic service documentation using company digital tools and obtain customer signatures and acceptance • Provide quotation information, including master data, component-level details, required labor hours, field operatives, tools, equipment, and pertinent notes • Read, understand, apply, and periodically refresh knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI, and other applicable codes and regulations • Complete accurate, professional inspection reports and required documents and submit them on time • Review jobs with the Service Manager and discuss repair issues and customer feedback • Maintain regular communication with the service office and Service Supervisor • Coordinate work schedules with the Service Supervisor • Perform service and repair work as required and as scheduling permits • Maintain company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets in safe working order • Maintain supplies, forms, literature, inventory, and materials in the service vehicle and document their use or sale • Follow company and customer safety rules and procedures • Maintain the company vehicle and uniforms in a clean, presentable condition • Participate in monthly safety meetings • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or related field or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience is preferred • At least five years of related experience with cranes or derricks • At least two years of crane-related field duties, such as crane inspection, crane operation, heavy equipment mechanic, shop foreman, operations supervision, rigging specialist, or mechanical/civil engineering • Related education may be substituted for experience at a ratio of two years of education for one year of experience, up to three years • Knowledge of Title 8 sections 4884 et seq. of the California Code of Regulations • Knowledge of ANSI and SAE standards relating to crane and derrick design and operation • Knowledge and experience with the specific equipment subject to the license • Must meet the definition of a qualified person through training and experience and be properly licensed where required • Valid driver’s license and good driving record • Must be willing and able to work off the ground • Good written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work varied overtime and participate in on-call rotation when required • Ability to travel and work out of town occasionally • Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs, daily lift up to 50 lbs, lift up to 75 lbs occasionally, and lift 100 lbs rarely • Ability to frequently climb, balance, stoop/crouch, and reach overhead; occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling • Ability to work in heat, cold, noise, and heights • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record check
