📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end payments and banking fraud prevention strategy across all Kraken products • Set the vision, roadmap, and OKRs with Product, Engineering, Security, Compliance, and Legal • Build, lead, and mentor a multi-tiered fraud organization of analysts, investigators, and managers • Establish career progression frameworks with clear advancement criteria • Partner with executives and regulators on emerging fraud trends, techniques, and technologies • Direct analysis to identify and close vulnerabilities proactively • Monitor payment trends and regulatory shifts to optimize approval/decline rates and revenue while maintaining fraud controls • Design, implement, and maintain fraud policies, rule frameworks, and control processes • Maintain risk assessment, mitigation, governance, and audit controls • Oversee fraud detection systems, tools, and escalation pathways for complex or novel cases • Ensure analyst SLA and QA standards across high-volume, real-time alert queues • Coordinate Fraud Operations with Customer Support, Compliance, Legal, Product, and Security • Direct fraud and payment KPI analysis and executive reporting on daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadences • Apply consistent global coverage standards across all markets

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in banking, payment processing, or fraud risk management, including experience building or leading a fraud team • Experience managing strategic fraud/payments programs and front-line, high-volume analyst operations • Experience with Card, Third-Party, and Peer-to-Peer payment fraud • Knowledge of relevant banking regulatory and compliance frameworks • Working knowledge of UK and other non-US regulatory regimes, including FCA and PSR • Data analytics and reporting experience • Experience developing career frameworks, coaching managers, and scaling operational teams • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly evolving industry
