📋 Description

• Perform project cost analysis and prepare cost metrics • Prepare cost adjustments in Oracle for project-to-project transfers, intercompany billings, labor corrections, and ad-hoc requests • Post cost entries to general ledger accounts • Prepare complex account reconciliations and analyses, including project inventory costs • Perform daily analysis of cost transactions between Inventory and Projects subledgers within Oracle • Work with IT on transaction-resolution issues • Support the monthly Inventory module closing process • Prepare the quarterly income statement flux report and explain quarterly changes in line items • Prepare program-related monthly and quarterly Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) schedules • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities • Prepare ad-hoc reporting and assist with special projects • Support external audits, internal audits, SOX, and Self Evaluation Testing • Report to the Associate Manager, Project Cost Accounting

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior cost accounting experience • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior cost accounting experience • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior cost accounting experience • Ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance • 2 years experience with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements • 2 years experience in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close in a fast-paced close process with multiple, often competing, deadlines • 2 years experience with facilitating internal and external audits • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) • Experience with ERP System (preferably Oracle) • Experience with HFM • Proficient in Microsoft Excel • Exceptional organizational skills, enabling monitoring of key due dates and activities • Flexible planner in terms of daily activities with ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong customer service approach, self-directed, assertive, with a positive attitude • Ability to develop broad, cooperative relationships with numerous groups and individuals
