📋 Description

• Provide technical support for FAA programs/systems including FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS, and others • Install, repair, configure, test, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment at customers’ remote locations • Work remotely in scheduled and on-call capacities at customer locations within the assigned area • Travel to remote sites outside the assigned area when needed to support FAA customer needs • Read, understand, and follow equipment drawings and task orders • Take notes and document work performed at customer locations • Resolve field issues by working directly with the NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk over the phone • Maintain tools, test equipment, parts/electronics, truck stock inventory, and personal or company vehicle • Prepare proactively for assigned tasks before dispatch • Follow L3Harris and program-specific policies and procedures with the supervisor/ASL

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience • Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record as conditions of initial and continued employment • Ability to obtain and maintain a FAA Public Trust Security Clearance • Able to read, understand, and follow equipment drawings and task orders • Good administrative skills for note-taking and documentation • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% of the time to remote sites within a 3-hour drive circle of base location and outside the assigned region as needed • Ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours/on-call when needed • Ability to lift items up to 32 lbs. and use ladders and step stools to reach approximately 10 ft. • Preferred: Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless, or A+ certifications • Preferred knowledge of cable connectors including RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, and RS-449 • Preferred knowledge of fiber, multiplexers, network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET, ATM, Private Line, and voice/data applications • Preferred knowledge of AC/DC power testing, including 3 Phase AC, and 24VDC/48VDC power supplies • Preferred experience with T1, DS3, BERT, and Analog VG network/circuit testing to Bell Core standards • Preferred experience using JDSU HST, Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, digital oscilloscopes, Halcyon 704A, Para-scope, or other T1/DS3 test sets • Preferred IP-based knowledge and experience configuring routers and switches • Preferred experience installing equipment racks
