📋 Description

• Review aircraft modifications and repairs performed by L3Harris and issue approvals on behalf of the FAA where appropriate • Review electrical aspects of military aircraft modifications and repairs for compliance with military airworthiness certification criteria and issue approval recommendations • Act as ODA Task Leader for projects, tracking certification progress, schedules, budgets, and issue resolution • Provide strategic customer and applicant coordination • Guide Unit Members, applicant teams, customers, and vendors through complex certification tasks • Provide input on new processes and standards for demonstrating and finding compliance across programs • Mentor Unit Member candidates pursuing FAA delegations • Work with customers and program offices to ensure aircraft are FAA certifiable and safe to fly • Manage ODA and airworthiness programs as required • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with twelve (12) years of electrical aircraft experience • Graduate degree with ten (10) years of electrical aircraft experience • In lieu of a degree, minimum of sixteen (16) years of aircraft electrical experience • Eight years or more existing 14 CFR Part 23 or Part 25 FAA delegations (DER or ODA UM) • FAA ODA Unit Member status required • Must be able to successfully pass an FAA Class III flight physical • Must be a U.S. Citizen • Proficiency in MS Office programs • Ability to work overtime and travel up to 20% as required • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret Clearance • Familiarity with FAA Order 8110.101 Type Certification for Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft • Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-516 military airworthiness certification criteria • Experience with safety analysis, lightning, or EWIS approvals
