📋 Description

• Handle on-demand video and audio interpreting sessions between Greek and English speakers • Render accurate meaning and concepts according to established interpretation protocols • Provide interpretation services via video and type data on a dedicated device • Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and polite expressions • Maintain a professional demeanor and remain calm during sensitive or emergency calls, including 911 calls • Maintain punctuality and availability during scheduled work hours • Follow client instructions and protocol while avoiding unauthorized interaction with limited-English speakers • Apply industry terminology and procedures across medical, insurance, finance, law, government, utilities, travel, education, and other sectors • Participate in online video and audio training sessions • Work from a quiet, secure home office • Remain on calls for extended periods and manage high call volumes while meeting company service standards

🎯 Requirements

• Fluency in Greek and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics • Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences • Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills • Ability to remain neutral and objective during sensitive conversations • Education or work experience in language-related fields such as teaching, language assessment, translation or interpretation preferred • Must be able to adapt to LLS technology enhancements • Must be at least 18 years of age • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to read and write the requested languages highly preferred • Dedicated personal device for business purposes • Desktop/laptop with Windows, MacOS, or ChromeOS; tablets and smartphones with iPadOS, Android, or iOS acceptable • Kaspersky products and Huawei hardware are restricted • High-speed internet with at least 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload, ping no more than 300 ms, and jitter no more than 30 ms • Access to a quiet space free from background noise or distraction • Ability to operate keyboard and mouse and remain stationary before a computer and webcam most of the workday • Must use a headset for prolonged periods • Ability to operate company-provided software and systems • Sufficient manual dexterity to type or write • Able to lift up to 26 lbs. • Post-offer pre-employment background check and/or drug screen may be required based on location
