📋 Description

• Handle on-demand video and audio interpreting sessions between Greek and English speakers • Render accurate concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocols • Provide interpretation across healthcare, government, insurance, finance, utilities, travel and hospitality, business, law enforcement, court, and 911 industries • Respond promptly and conduct sessions in a friendly, professional manner • Participate in online, video and audio training sessions • Deliver interpretation via video and type data on a dedicated device • Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and enunciation • Remain calm and professional during sensitive, emotional, stressful, or emergency calls • Maintain punctuality and availability during scheduled work hours • Follow client instructions and protocol while protecting client expectations and permissions • Understand and use terminology and procedures for multiple industries • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and work effectively in a diverse environment • Remain on calls for extended periods and maintain service standards during high call volumes

🎯 Requirements

• Fluency in Greek and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics • Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences • Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills • Ability to remain neutral and objective during sensitive subjects • Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred • Ability to adapt to LLS technology enhancements • Must be at least 18 years of age • Legally authorized to work in the United States • US work authorization must not now or in the future require visa sponsorship • High school diploma or equivalent • Must be able to read and write the requested languages — highly preferred • Dedicated personal device for business purposes • Desktop/laptop with Windows, MacOS, or ChromeOS; tablets and smartphones on iPadOS, Android, or iOS acceptable • Kaspersky products and Huawei hardware are restricted • High-speed internet with at least 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload, ping no more than 300 ms, and jitter no more than 30 ms • Quiet space free from background noise or distraction • Ability to operate keyboard, mouse, company software and systems • Ability to remain stationary in front of a computer and webcam for most of the workday • Ability to use a headset for prolonged periods • Sufficient manual dexterity to type or write • Able to lift up to 26 lbs. • Post-offer, pre-employment background check and/or drug screen may be required based on location
