📋 Description

• Design and optimize real-time databases and data systems for performance, quality, and scalability • Tune, productionize, and optimize data systems and machine learning models • Own features end-to-end from concept through deployment • Drive substantial product features as the key developer alongside architects, backend developers, or analysts • Mentor and support junior engineers through design reviews and pair programming • Provide technical leadership in architecture and design discussions • Advocate for simple, elegant, and pragmatic solutions • Balance new development with technical debt management • Champion best practices in quality, security, and operations, including CI/CD, monitoring, and privacy compliance • Build software for healthcare, fintech, SaaS commerce, and other client projects

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years experience in database engineering or administration • Deep expertise in SQL, relational databases, data modeling, and transactional design • Hands-on experience with ETL pipelines and data warehouses • Proven ability to design efficient schemas and tune queries for high-scale, high-volume environments • Quality mindset including unit tests, integration tests, automation, and defensive programming • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills • Ability to design before coding using clear diagrams, early assumption validation, and analysis of edge cases and trade-offs • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English • Commitment to continuous learning and collaboration • Bonus: leadership in data architecture across multiple projects or business domains • Bonus: understanding of database internals • Bonus: experience with large-scale systems or high-volume datasets • Bonus: clear, structured communication and design documentation
