• Conduct legal and factual research, analysis, and writing • Cite-check and copy-edit legal documents • Assist with court filings • Assist with client advising • Provide additional support to the Lawyering Project’s legal programs as needed • Cultivate an organizational culture aligned with the Lawyering Project’s core values • Gain practical experience across a variety of legal tasks
• Currently enrolled in a law school located in the United States • Current 2Ls, who will be rising 3Ls in summer 2027, are strongly encouraged to apply • Demonstrated commitment to social justice and interest in reproductive health, rights, and justice • Legal research, writing, and analysis skills • Ability to analyze complex legal issues, meet deadlines, work well under pressure, and contribute to a collaborative, diverse, equitable, and inclusive team environment • Resume • Cover letter describing experience with legal research, writing, and analysis • Details of legal clinic participation or law journal responsibilities, if applicable • Explanation of interest in supporting the Lawyering Project’s reproductive healthcare access work in no more than 150 words • Writing sample of 5–10 pages demonstrating legal writing and research skills • Three professional references including name, organizational affiliation, title, and relationship
