📋 Description

• Lead a dynamic team working on electric transmission line design projects • Design and review high-voltage and extra high-voltage overhead and underground electric utility lines • Apply NESC, ASCE, and other applicable standards • Perform regular design reviews in a principal engineering role • Develop junior staff members • Contribute to bids and proposal development • Conduct site visits to client substation facilities • Travel occasionally for client meetings and industry-related events • Participate in client-facing activities such as lunch-and-learns and kick-off meetings • Comply with quality control and safe work practices • Maintain compliance with project scope, schedule, and budget expectations • Contribute to a growing design team of engineers, designers, and drafting technicians

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering • P.E. License • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience with PLS-CADD, POLE, TOWER, SAG10, LPILE or FAD, and Microsoft Office suite • Willingness to travel up to 10% • Knowledge of NESC code requirements, construction cost estimating, specification, material procurement processes, project schedule creation, and construction work packages • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (desired) • Project Management Professional certification (desired) • Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, Bentley ProjectWise, ESRI ArcGIS Programs, and Microsoft SharePoint (desired)
