📋 Description

• Serve as an Engineer on electric transmission line design projects for high-voltage and extra high-voltage overhead and underground systems • Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, and other applicable standards in engineering and design • Work on voltage conversion, new capacity, and infrastructure replacement projects • Perform OE functions and engineering analyses • Prepare bidding documents • Draft plans and specifications • Prepare material procurement and construction documents • Collaborate with a multi-person Leidos team • Interface with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management personnel • Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering • Minimum of four (4) years of prior relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems • Experience reviewing full transmission line designs, including PLS-CADD models, foundations, material, plan and profiles, and construction packages • Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE code requirements • Knowledge of construction specifications, material procurement process, project schedules, and construction work packages • Ability to develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently • Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams • Program expertise: PLS-CADD and POLE • Experience with LPILE or FAD Tools • Microsoft Office proficiency • Work in client office may be possible and/or periodic travel may be required
