📋 Description

• Monitor and identify important legal developments and relevant official documents in assigned practice areas • Select which legal developments to report • Digest and explain court opinions and other litigation-related documents according to manager guidance • Write news articles for daily website upload and inclusion in print publications • Meet publication deadlines and produce content in a timely manner • Review web-based content usage analytics to help drive content focus • Help set editorial direction and provide tactical guidance when needed • Continually improve publication content and help the team meet performance goals

🎯 Requirements

• Hard news reporting experience and excellent news judgment • Bachelor's degree in journalism/communications (relevant experience considered without a degree) • Ability to multitask and reprioritize throughout the day • Ability to understand and explain complex legal topics • Skilled and speedy news writing • Ability to network with attorney sources and use online and other resources to gather information • Excellent interviewing skills • Ability to work Eastern time zone hours • Ability to work independently
