📋 Description

• Lead multiple online Supplemental Instruction sessions each week and create interactive student discussions on difficult course content • Create interactive activities for online sessions to engage students in the session and course content • Integrate course-specific study and learning strategies to maximize students’ academic progress • Participate in mandatory SI Leader Orientation, training sessions, and scheduled meetings • Complete SI-related administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Online Tutoring Services • Support retention of students enrolled in online sections of certain courses • Work collaboratively with the Director of Online Tutoring Services

🎯 Requirements

• Current Residential undergraduate or graduate student • "A" or "B" in the course you wish to tutor • Cumulative LU GPA of at least 3.0 • Good communication and interpersonal skills with individuals from varying educational, cultural, and social backgrounds • Enthusiasm for ministering to and helping students improve their knowledge of course content and effective study habits • Excellent level of responsibility, reliability, punctuality, and organization • Appropriate and professional behavior • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing • Ability to understand, speak, and write English • Public communication skills allowing professional representation of Liberty University • Strong organizational skills • Excellent computer skills • Ability to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve routine and complex problems • Frequently able to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard • Regularly able to hear and speak to communicate orally • Letter of recommendation from the instructor of the course(s) (preferred) • Previous tutoring experience (preferred) • An "A" in each course you wish to tutor (preferred) • Excellent communication skills (preferred)
