📋 Description

• Tutor students one-on-one through UPchieve’s virtual classroom using text chat and a shared whiteboard • Get certified in three or more UPchieve subjects • Provide academic support in math, science, reading and writing, English, social studies and history, and college prep • Complete UPchieve’s tutor training and apply feedback • Provide encouraging, student-centered support • Adhere to Liberty University policies and represent the University exemplarily • Work effectively as a team member while supporting Liberty University’s Christian model and mission • Work remotely with a computer and strong internet connection

🎯 Requirements

• Enrolled in a degree-seeking program at Liberty University • Federal Work Study eligibility • Availability of 5 to 10 hours per week • Must pass required background checks • Must not be in default on any federal student or parent loan • Must not have disqualifying convictions or findings involving government funds • At least a second-year student at Liberty University preferred • Must be in good standing; no reprimands or suspensions preferred • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred • Ability to adhere to federal, state, and institutional policies, confidentiality, and recordkeeping requirements • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing • Ability to understand, speak, and write English • Ability to learn technology quickly • Ability to work under pressure, follow written instructions, and take initiative • Self-discipline and time-management skills • Ability to reason, analyze information, apply judgment, and solve routine and complex problems • Computer with a strong internet connection
