📋 Description

• Independently manage a caseload of Long-Term Disability claims from intake through resolution • Partner with claimants, employers and medical professionals via phone and email to gather and assess disability-status and state and federal benefits information • Conduct initial and ongoing claimant interviews for claim evaluation • Review medical documentation and complex medical records • Partner with clinical and vocational experts, case managers, nurse case managers, vocational specialists and consulting physicians • Deliver timely and ethical claim determinations consistent with company guidelines and regulatory standards • Determine appropriate claim durations and guide ongoing action planning throughout the claim lifecycle • Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with claimants, employers and internal partners

🎯 Requirements

• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; 4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's • 1+ years of long-term disability claims experience directly aligned with the role • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task • Experience mentoring or coaching newer examiners (preferred) • Continuous improvement mindset, including process optimization, efficiency and quality (preferred) • Exposure to predictive analytics / AI tools (preferred)
