• Independently manage a caseload of Long-Term Disability (LTD) claims from intake through resolution. • Partner with claimants, employers, and medical professionals via phone and email to gather and assess information related to disability status and applicable state and federal benefits. • Conduct initial and ongoing interviews with claimants to gather key information for claim evaluation. • Deliver timely and ethical claim determinations, ensuring consistency with company guidelines and regulatory standards. • Collaborate with case managers, nurse case managers, vocational specialists, and consulting physicians to support appropriate claim determinations. • Deliver exceptional customer service by proactively identifying needs and opportunities.
• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's). • 1+ Years of long-term disability claims experience directly aligned with the specific responsibilities for this role. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task.
