📋 Description

• Collaborate cross-functionally on projects, representing the Finance and Accounting team from a Tax perspective. • Work within Avalara and state/local jurisdictions for accurate filings. • Manage tax notices effectively, including system adjustments. • Participate in large-scale tax projects like system upgrades. • Oversee exemption certificates handling and maintain non-taxed status reflects. • Prepare and review Sales Tax, Franchise Tax, and Gross Receipts Tax returns. • Perform month-end reconciliations for tax-related accounts. • Maintain a tax compliance calendar for applicable taxes. • Support state and local non-income tax audits.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university. • Minimum 2 years of experience in tax compliance matters including sales and non-income tax, property tax. • Preparation of business licenses for a national publicly traded retail company, including E-Commerce required. • Proficiency required in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint. • Experience with NetSuite and Avalara preferred. • Exemplify Lovesac values, results driven, and utilize knowledge to meet/exceed KPIs.
