• Manually remove vegetation from work areas • Apply pesticides • Safely operate forestry equipment, including skidders, mowers, chainsaws, and ATVs • Perform utility line clearance • Perform pruning and tree removals • Learn felling, climbing, rigging, equipment operation, and vegetation management • Participate in paid hands-on on-the-job training • Work outdoors in a year-round ground operations and arborist trainee role
• No prior tree industry experience necessary • Must be able to work 45 hours weekly • Must be 18 years of age • High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent • Current and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation • Ability to work outdoors in various types of weather • Physically able to walk on uneven ground and carry 75 lbs. • Willingness to work at varying heights • Willingness and ability to learn bucket truck operation and equipment safety • Willingness and ability to obtain a CDL A or B license • Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain required licenses and certifications • Successful completion of post-offer physical and drug screen • Successful completion of background and motor vehicle checks • Ability to perform physical labor and work safely
