đź“‹ Description

• Administer diagnostic tests, preadmission testing, rehabilitation, and/or physician appointment schedules for hospital departments and physician practices • Gather clinical information to ensure appropriate scheduling of screening and diagnostic procedures and/or physician appointments • Coordinate schedules with patients, physicians, office staff, and ancillary departments • Communicate and dispense instructions and explain necessary patient preparations • Identify improvement opportunities and work with management to implement changes • Provide floor support for new and tenured scheduling staff • Serve as a resource for Patient Access staff, physicians, departments, and referring offices • Verify and update patient demographic information

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED • 1 year scheduling experience within the Patient Access Center OR proficiency in all basic scheduling procedures and training on one or more complex diagnostic tests OR experience scheduling physician appointments across multiple regions • Ability to gather clinical information for appropriate scheduling • Ability to coordinate schedules with patients, physicians, office staff, and ancillary departments • Ability to communicate instructions and explain patient preparation requirements clearly • Ability to verify and update patient demographic information • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. • Frequent sitting/standing • Frequent keyboard use
