📋 Description

• Provide coverage in short-term, surge, on-demand, summer camp, and backfill situations supporting the MFLC program • Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling to adults, children, and youth of service members • Conduct assessments, brief counseling, consultation, action planning, referrals, resource linkage, and follow-up • Support CDC, DoDEA and community school, youth program, and summer camp staff and personnel in CYB assignments • Provide parent training and guidance • Deliver training and health and wellness presentations and participate in health fairs and installation activities • Enter counselor activity data daily through a smartphone or web application while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity • Establish working relationships with community resources and provide appropriate linkages • Partner with installation/facility Points of Contact to provide Adult and CYB services • Manage duty-to-warn and restricted-reporting situations according to DoD protocol • Participate in individual and group supervision and communicate trends and issues to Regional Supervisors • Respond to critical incidents and special requests as directed

🎯 Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health-related field or social work • Current independent licensure as a behavioral health clinician meeting state, Commonwealth, or customer-specific requirements • Ability to accept short-notice assignments of undefined periods, including weekends • Ability to cover full-time assignments ranging from a weekend to two weeks • Clinical work experience required • Ability to quickly build rapport with service personnel, family members, students, parents, and coworkers • Adaptability to new working conditions and varying location rules • Ability to work effectively with minimal instruction and guidance • Ability to participate in in-services, training, Quality Improvement committees, and other contract activities with minimal notice • Ability to respond quickly to emergent situations and traverse indoor/outdoor military installation and school environments, including uneven terrain and stairs • Ability to comply with assignment-specific immunization or vaccination requirements • Ability to prove U.S. citizenship • Fluency in English • Advanced knowledge of brief therapy and solution-focused counseling methods • Prior military service, military-family experience, or strong familiarity with military culture desired • CYB positions require Magellan MFLC CYB experience with children and youth and a child/adolescent development or psychology specialty • Ability to follow line-of-sight protocol when working with children • Current valid driver's license listed among required certifications
