📋 Description

• Provide coverage in short-term, surge, and on-demand situations resulting from military needs • Provide the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to military service members and their families at military installations • Conduct one-on-one counseling, consultations, briefings, presentations, and referrals • Work with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure the program meets installation needs and remains within scope • Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and families • Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences • Develop and distribute informational financial materials • Coordinate, publicize, and provide Personal Financial Management classes and workshops across the military lifecycle • Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars • Utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication methods when authorized • Manage duty-to-warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol • Communicate with leadership and participate in individual and group supervision • Share information about trends and issues at assigned installations • Participate in in-services, training, quality improvement committees, and other assigned contract activities • Perform all other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, or associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree, or high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree • 3+ years of financial counseling experience • Must be a U.S. citizen • Must speak fluent English • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish if required by the contract • Able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation • Able to pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest process • Must hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) • Valid in-state driver's license listed among required certifications/licenses
