📋 Description

• Deliver a 3-credit-hour 500-level Food Systems Management course • Deliver instruction through an asynchronous distance pathway • Post all materials two weeks in advance of delivery • Maintain regular interactions with enrolled students • Report final grades to the registrar • Meet assigned classes at scheduled locations, as needed • Hold regular office hours • Administer examinations and assess student learning • Work professionally, collegially, and collaboratively with the University community • Maintain compliance with Faculty Manual policies and procedures • Support students’ personal and professional development • Design new courses, as appropriate • Provide academic advising

🎯 Requirements

• RDN-degree or an advanced degree accompanied by documented subject-matter expertise and/or appropriate professional certification • Knowledge and experience sufficient to effectively teach assigned courses • Effective presentation skills • Effective organizational and administrative skills • Ability to deliver course content and assist students in understanding it • Ability to evaluate student writing and provide effective feedback • Effective oral and written communication with students, faculty, staff, and administrators • Ability to adapt to changing teaching and learning environments and content-delivery methods • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and respond to students’ legitimate needs in a timely manner • Ability and willingness to work with students of all skill levels and academic backgrounds • Ability and willingness to perform clerical work as necessary • Proficient in spoken and written English • Basic computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and internet use
