📋 Description

• Provide consultation and appropriate mortality assessment of complex medical files • Interpret EKGs, stress tests, blood work, and other medical test results in medical chart records • Assess complex medical files and provide sound, competitive assessments • Interpret laboratory and medical test results used to detect, diagnose, or monitor diseases in underwriting risk assessment • Participate in continuing education for the JH underwriting team • Support research and development of MUM updates with evidence-based research when needed • Report directly to the Chief Medical Director

🎯 Requirements

• Health care professional in good standing: MD, DO, or RN • Strong understanding of medical science and technology and their impact on mortality and morbidity • Knowledge of the medical underwriting function • Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize, research, and solve problems • Fluent in English, both verbal and written • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills • Minimum of 3 years of insurance medicine experience preferred • Board Certified in Insurance Medicine is an asset but not a requirement
