📋 Description

• Lead and direct crews performing track construction and rail yard work • Plan and coordinate materials, equipment, and staffing for projects • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with FRA rules and company procedures • Oversee daily crew activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety • Train and onboard new employees • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet timelines • Support cost control and efficient use of resources • Perform additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED • 5–7 years of experience in railroad track construction • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred • Strong knowledge of track construction, maintenance, and defect identification • Ability to operate and train others on heavy equipment (backhoe, front-end loader) • Strong communication and leadership skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, and safety standards • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions • Ability to lift and move equipment (up to ~75 lbs) • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check • FRA certification required when applicable
