📋 Description
• Participate in all phases of connecting EHR systems to NC HealthConnex • Support health care providers with their technical implementation to the state’s health information exchange • Collaborate with the NC HIEA, technical partner, participants and their EHR vendors • Assist in the acquisition of integration and interface requirements, the design of data mapping and transformations • Evaluate the EHR interface to meet or exceed data quality requirements • Provides individual support to designated health care providers to educate on the technical requirements for connectivity to the state-designated HIE • Collaborate with NC HIEA outreach and provider relations team, SAS, Participants, and EHR vendors to integrate clinical data feeds into the defined Data Targets • Ensure data feeds meet Data Quality requirements • Analyze problems of low to medium complexity related to integrated systems • Create and maintain documentation, issue tickets, etc. in accordance with defined standards • Coordinate with project team members • Make recommendations for improvement of operations or processes
🎯 Requirements
• US Citizenship is required • Fingerprint background check is required • Experience managing customer relationships in the health IT organization • Experience with HL7 V.2 messages and Continuity of Care Documents (CCD) • Knowledge of interfacing with various applications, management information systems, data structures, systems analysis and design, and programming languages • Knowledge of HIPAA and health care regulatory compliance as they relate to Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Health Information Exchange (HIE) • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools, including Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint • 3-4 years as an interface specialist in the health Information technology field
