📋 Description

• Lead, manage, and grow a global team of 14+ trade compliance and trade operations professionals • Design and architect a scalable global trade compliance program • Evaluate, implement, and test compliance systems, processes, and procedures • Oversee export controls, technology transfer, deemed export, sanctions, and restricted-party screening programs • Oversee import, customs, trade facilitation, classification, country-of-origin, valuation, broker relationships, and duty-mitigation programs • Serve as escalation point for ECCN and HTS classification determinations • Own trade compliance metrics, KPIs, and health reporting for senior leadership • Conduct investigations, participate in audits, and drive monitoring and corrective actions • Support M&A due diligence and integration activities • Implement technology tools, including AI-driven automation • Partner with counsel on export licensing, regulatory filings, and legal matters • Collaborate with Legal, Finance/Tax, HR, Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales, and Corporate Strategy • Direct and execute risk-based trade compliance training and communications • Promote a customer-centric, business-enabling trade compliance and ethics culture • Travel globally to meet stakeholders, conduct training, and improve processes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required • Extensive, hands-on experience in trade compliance across transactions, technology transfer, and tariffs • Deep, hands-on expertise in ECCN/HTS classification and program management • Proven experience managing and scaling a global team of trade compliance professionals • Semiconductor industry or related advanced-technology experience required • Experience managing global trade compliance teams, systems implementations, and budgets • Strong business acumen and sound judgment • Executive presence and ability to influence stakeholders across a complex, matrixed organization • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills • Ability to distill complex regulatory concepts into simple, actionable terms • Ability to adopt new tools and technologies • Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under applicable U.S. law • Licensed customs broker is a plus • Technical or engineering background is a plus • Juris Doctorate or other advanced degree is a plus but not required
