Mason Private Locating is a specialist provider of private underground utility locating and subsurface investigation services. The company performs ground penetrating radar (GPR), concrete scanning, utility mapping, sub-surface utility engineering (SUE), robotic sewer camera inspections, vacuum excavation and cross-bore mitigation to identify and document public, private and unknown underground utilities. Mason serves contractors, engineers, environmental consultants and facility owners with on-site locating, detailed deliverables, and risk-mitigation services to prevent utility damage, safety incidents and project delays.

📋 Description

• Locate and mark underground utilities for private and public infrastructure using industry-standard equipment. • Read and interpret utility maps, construction plans, and GIS data. • Accurately identify and document underground utility locations. • Support construction crews by providing accurate utility locates before excavation begins. • Transition into Watch & Protect duties by monitoring excavation activities and helping prevent utility damage. • Communicate effectively with contractors, utility owners, and project managers. • Complete required documentation using mobile applications and company software. • Follow all company safety policies, procedures and industry best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• 1+ years previous utility locating, construction, telecommunications, or underground utility experience is required! • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Ability to walk long distances and lift up to 50 pounds. • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
