📋 Description

• Assist Civil Engineers, Technical Managers, and Project Managers with data analysis, computations, design, and plan production on water/wastewater civil engineering projects • Assist with design, construction documents, plan production, maps, basic reports, and supporting documentation for water and wastewater engineering projects • Gather project-site background information, including reviewing as-built plans and mapping existing utility service • Produce 1D and 2D surface water hydraulic models for floodplain mapping of individual watershed domains • Conduct feasibility studies for water supply systems, runoff collection networks, water and wastewater treatment plants, and wastewater collection systems • Prepare environmental documentation for regulatory program compliance • Perform hydrological analyses using three-dimensional simulation software to model water movement • Attend internal project meetings and participate as necessary • Occasionally visit project sites and report findings to Engineers and/or Project Managers • Assist in technical analysis and perform design calculations • Assist with preparation of construction specifications for water and wastewater engineering projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field • 2 years of experience in Civil Engineering – Surface Water or related • Demonstrated experience in municipal and highway water drainage projects • Demonstrated knowledge of local drainage requirements for Southern California • Demonstrated experience with municipal departments, regional agencies, state, and federal agencies in California • Proficiency in at least 8 of the following software tools: AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, ArcGIS Pro, HydroCalc, TR-55, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, FlowMaster, CulvertMaster, and PondPack • Demonstrated knowledge of XPSWMM and PCSWMM Storm Water Management Models (SWMM) • Ability to occasionally visit project sites
