• Manage administrative tasks associated with the foreclosure legal process • Send timely correspondence to all interested parties • Maintain electronic files • Prepare legal pleadings • Follow up on service of process • Utilize and maintain client systems • Address incoming calls • Draft, prepare, and format memoranda, correspondence, assignments, and other legal documents • Field calls from borrowers, clients, and outside parties • Respond to a heavy volume of email correspondence • Develop and maintain relationships with business associates and clients • Update the firm’s internal case management system and client systems • Review title reports and recorded documents • Provide exceptional customer service to clients • Proofread legal documents • Support attorneys in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment • Provide client status updates • Follow up on outstanding documents and services • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed
• At least 2–3 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal within a foreclosure firm • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service • Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with borrowers, clients, attorneys, internal employees, and outside parties • Ability to work congenially and in a team-oriented manner • Exceptional organizational skills • Ability to multitask and adapt to continual change • Ability to read and write at a high level for proofreading and editing • High-level proficiency in MS Office Suite • Proficiency in internet research activities • Familiarity with case and document management software • Experience with client systems such as LPS, SSE Portal, Tempo, Vendorscape, and others preferred • Good understanding of the legal process surrounding foreclosure preferred • Experience reviewing title reports and identifying chain-of-title issues preferred • Proficiency operating a computer, fax machine, scanner, photocopier, typewriter, and telephone • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future • No employment sponsorship or immigration support available, including CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, TN, E-3, H-1B, and O-1 support
