📋 Description

• Measure, thread, and adjust flange fit and face flanges on ductile or steel pipe • Use manual machine tools, including lathes and threaders • Operate machines and cranes to move pipe in and out of machining centers • Ensure personal and team member safety • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment and follow the Waterman Safety Management Program • Identify fabrication requirements for each piece of pipe • Operate a forklift to move pipe inside and outside the plant • Operate the pipe cut-off saw • Test flanges to ensure accurate fit after threading • Apply glue to pipe and flange and use the machine to tighten the flange • Remove threaded pipe from the machine and move it to the next processing operation • Use a lathe cutting tool to flush-fit the flange onto the pipe • Operate on pipe and flanges primarily 3–24 inches in diameter and 6 inches–18 feet long • Meet quality standards and prescribed production output objectives • Paint and package finished products • Maintain cleanliness of the assigned work area • Help and volunteer across a variety of machines

🎯 Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role • High school diploma or GED required • Experience as a machine operator in manufacturing preferred • Computer skills • Good with basic math • Able to read a tape measure and micrometer • Ability to understand machinery processes • Consistent attendance and ability to get to work on time every day • Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification • Ability to operate a forklift or overhead crane • Must communicate verbally and in writing in English • Must wear appropriate PPE, including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and mask • Must meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds • Must be able to work in heat, cold, noise, vibration, dust, and fumes • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions • Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance • Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed
