📋 Description

• Maintain Trauma Registry data, including data abstraction and ICD-10 and AIS coding • Analyze and review patient medical records • Abstract data from data sources and code and enter data into the trauma registry • Ensure accuracy and maintain quality control of the registry program • Assist with collection of registry data for performance improvement and registry projects • Complete timely data abstraction and meet Trauma Service Line deadlines • Attend assigned educational opportunities • Adhere to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards • Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors • Promote professional growth and development through continuing education and skills competency • Support department-based goals and organizational success • Serve as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff • Provide compassionate, personalized, safe, and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside in Texas • Supplemental position with 8-hour shifts • Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology required • ICD-10 and Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) coding experience preferred • Relevant healthcare or coding work will also be considered • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Trauma registry experience preferred
