📋 Description

• Write challenging single-turn prompts in chemistry and chemical safety, labeled as benign, dual-use, or adversarial • Evaluate model responses against a defined policy standard • Judge whether responses handled technical and potentially dangerous requests correctly • Write reference answers describing correct responses and the technical reasoning behind them • Red-team frontier AI models by testing their handling of legitimate and dangerous chemistry requests • Provide written rationales that non-specialists can follow • Read and write about misuse scenarios in the field for sustained periods

🎯 Requirements

• Background in controlled substance casework in a forensic laboratory, including identification and quantitation • Experience with clandestine laboratory response, precursor identification, and scene chemistry • Experience in forensic toxicology, including postmortem or human performance casework • Experience with seized-drug and precursor trend monitoring or intelligence analysis • Experience with expert testimony and report writing on chemical casework • Ability to distinguish routine professional questions from requests seeking dangerous information • Strong technical writing ability; every judgment requires a written rationale understandable to non-specialists • Prior technical writing, published research, or expert witness experience is strongly preferred • Must not draw on classified or export-controlled information, or information covered by an NDA or prepublication review obligation • Must disclose any such obligations so work can be scoped accordingly
