📋 Description

• Interpret complex data sets related to Claims Department operations and provide data-driven analysis • Analyze and interpret data, identify trends and patterns, and provide insights to drive business decisions • Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations presenting complex data clearly and concisely • Work with claims leaders to identify opportunities and provide data support • Collaborate with Claims, Product, Underwriting, IT Domain Teams, and other company divisions on business solutions • Retrieve data from various sources and prepare it for analysis • Review data accuracy and revise data retrieval methods when necessary • Prepare reports, graphs, and charts based on research and analyses • Analyze data and provide suggestions and recommendations to leadership • Assist with forecasting future claims activity and planning for future risks • Serve as a contact for basic reporting needs, issues, and on-demand reports • Communicate with subject matter experts and leadership to understand claims operations and key performance indicators • Create presentations explaining identified problems and potential solutions • Develop spreadsheets and visual tools for management use • Present findings and recommendations at management meetings as needed • Coordinate and execute reporting using Guidewire Database, NextGen Database, and Enterprise Data Warehouse • Direct and support underwriting users and leaders in identifying data needed for reporting

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical concentration, such as math, statistics, or engineering • Master’s degree is required in lieu of work experience • At least 3 years of insurance related experience, preferably in an analytical role, or equivalent combination of education and experience • SAS and SQL Training • Advanced proficiency in SQL required • Proficiency in PowerBI and other data visualization tools • Experience with Python and/or R is a plus • Knowledge of statistics and general model building/validation procedures required • Strong data skills and ability to work with massive datasets • Good problem-solving skills required • Good analytical and critical thinking required • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required • Ability to present findings on underwriting data projects • Ability to produce quality work within tight timeframes, simultaneously manage multiple projects, and work in a team setting • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed, including possible overnight and/or weekend stays • Ability to adhere to the Company’s privacy policy due to the sensitive nature of information handled
