📋 Description

• Deploy nursing staffing resources to facilitate cost-effective coverage for all shifts across multiple patient care areas in East Community hospitals • Place patients in appropriate units based on physician orders and identified criteria • Proactively analyze and identify staffing issues, focusing on resolution • Facilitate hospital throughput • Collect data as directed • Perform duties consistently with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent GED • Previous clinical experience preferred but not required; will train • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant • Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to deal tactfully with a variety of callers • Ability to be a supportive team member and contribute to teamwork and the team concept • Ability to handle difficult situations with patience and tact • Ability to multitask • Willingness to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing practices • Ability to uphold confidentiality and patient care principles to the fullest extent • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving ability • Time management and organizational skills
