• Conduct one-on-one benefit consultations by phone or virtual meeting • Explain medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefit options • Review plan costs, coverage, limitations, eligibility, provider networks, and prescription coverage • Help employees compare options based on individual and family needs • Answer questions and provide follow-up steps • Complete enrollment applications and collect required employee information • Verify eligibility, employer contributions, payroll deductions, and effective dates • Process direct-pay enrollments and payment information when applicable • Ensure enrollments meet carrier, company, and compliance requirements • Follow up on missing information and resolve or escalate open questions • Review client benefit offerings, eligibility rules, contribution amounts, and enrollment guidelines before consultations • Stay current on benefit products, carrier updates, company procedures, licensing requirements, and continuing education • Maintain clear and complete notes in Meridio’s systems • Collaborate with Client Success, Coverage, Operations, and carriers to resolve enrollment issues • Share recurring questions and process issues to improve operations
• Active resident-state Health and Life Insurance License in good standing • Ability and willingness to obtain additional non-resident licenses as needed • Experience in employee benefits, health insurance, benefits enrollment, or a similar customer-facing role • Knowledge of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefit products • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through • Comfort using virtual meeting tools, carrier portals, benefit administration platforms, and customer-tracking systems • Ability to handle personal and benefit information confidentially • Personal computer and strong, dependable internet connection • Ability to enter into a U.S.-based independent contractor agreement and provide a completed Form W-9 if selected • Availability during U.S. weekday business hours • Bilingual communication skills are a bonus
