• Manage and serve as the company claim advocate for Workers' Compensation claims administered by TPAs nationwide • Serve as the primary contact with TPAs, MGM department leaders, and injured workers • Supervise TPA administration for quality assurance, claim management, medical management services, and litigation expenses • Audit TPA adherence to Best Practices and Special Handling Instructions • Oversee Nevada, Michigan, Ohio, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and Mississippi Workers' Compensation claims • Review claim notes and administration, including data entry, claim reporting, medical management, reserving, claimant communication, documentation, litigation, settlements, and return-to-work protocols • Identify trends and program improvement opportunities with the Director of Workers' Compensation • Conduct quarterly claim reviews with TPA adjusters • Audit TPA files for evidence and case-resolution plans • Identify cases for resolution and work with adjusters to resolve them promptly • Maintain regular interactions with TPA claims personnel • Develop cost-containment and claim-resolution strategies with TPA claims handlers • Collaborate with Return to Work Specialists and the ADA Department on permanent restriction processes • Provide departmental education and training to reduce injury frequency • Support injured employees in navigating the Workers' Compensation claims process • Manage the Workers' Compensation claims system weekly to supply data for OSHA 300 and 301 logs and ensure reporting compliance • Stay current on Workers' Compensation regulations, laws, and rulings • Complete other projects and tasks as required by Risk Management leadership
• High School Diploma or GED • 3+ years of prior relevant experience working for a public company in the State of Nevada • Bachelor's Degree — Preferred • Nevada State Worker's Compensation license — Preferred • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting — Preferred
