📋 Description

• Manage and serve as the company claim advocate for Workers' Compensation claims administered by TPAs nationwide • Serve as the primary contact with TPAs, MGM department leaders, and injured workers • Supervise TPA administration for quality assurance, claim management, medical management services, and litigation expenses • Conduct oversight and audits of TPA adherence to Best Practices and Special Handling Instructions • Oversee Nevada, Michigan, Ohio, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and Mississippi Workers' Compensation claims • Review TPA Risk Management System notes, including data entry, claim reporting, medical management, reserving, claimant communication, documentation, litigation, settlement negotiations, and return-to-work protocols • Identify trends and areas for program improvement with the Director of Workers' Compensation • Conduct quarterly claim reviews with TPA adjusters • Audit TPA files for proper evidence and case resolution plans • Identify claims for resolution and work with adjusters to resolve them promptly • Establish regular interactions with key TPA claims personnel • Develop cost-containment and claim-resolution strategies with TPA claims handlers • Collaborate with Return to Work Specialists and the ADA Department on permanent restriction processes • Provide education and training to departments to reduce injury frequency • Assist injured employees with navigating the Workers' Compensation claims process • Manage the Workers' Compensation claims system weekly to supply data for OSHA 300 and 301 logs in collaboration with the Safety Department • Monitor Workers' Compensation regulations, laws, and rulings • Complete other projects and tasks as directed by Risk Management leadership

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • 3+ Years of prior relevant experience working for a public company in the State of Nevada • Bachelor's Degree - Preferred • Nevada State Worker's Compensation license - Preferred • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting - Preferred • Up-to-date knowledge of worker's compensation regulations, laws and ruling • Ability to manage and oversee Workers' Compensation claims administered by TPAs • Ability to review and audit claim files for accuracy, compliance, reserving, medical management, litigation, settlements, and return-to-work protocols • Ability to collaborate with TPAs, MGM department leaders, injured workers, Return to Work Specialists, ADA Department, Safety Department, and Risk Management leadership • Knowledge of OSHA 300 and 301 log reporting requirements • Critical thinking and proactive communication skills
