• Create mechanical design drawings and layouts for conveyor and automation systems using AutoCAD, Inventor, and FORTNA’s proprietary 3D design tools. • Create fabrication, integration, installation, and permit drawings. • Participate in design reviews, assist with drawing QA/QC processes, and help prepare engineering documentation. • Conduct site visits to gather field dimensions and validate system requirements. • Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases. • Communicate progress to engineering leads and document project updates and challenges. • Follow engineering standards and contribute ideas for improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering; OR an associate’s degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related field; OR a minimum of 2 years of directly relevant industry experience. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor (or similar 3D design tool); experience with MS Office tools (Word, Excel). • Familiarity with material handling systems and conveyor equipment. • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and organizational skills. • Willingness to travel (10–20%) for project support.
