• Perform quality inspections of components from manufacturing and direct-ship vendors before installation • Inspect installations for correct and professional completion • Provide feedback to management and site supervision • Notify sites of potential issues to reduce punch-list items after Commissioning and Go Live • Train site teams through hands-on instruction • Inspect sorter components before installation and verify required components are on site • Ensure electrical devices and cables are correct, labeled, and properly installed • Troubleshoot installation and commissioning issues and provide solutions • Provide detailed status reports to the QSR Manager • Maintain a rapid-response team for damage assessment after major crashes • Mobilize quickly for emergency repairs • Assist projects when extraordinary circumstances threaten completion dates
• Ability to read and interpret installation manuals and forms • Ability to clearly communicate in written and spoken formats • Detail-oriented with commitment to excellence and continuous improvement • Proficient in Microsoft Office products • Self-motivated and able to work with limited direction • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills • Previous supervisory experience within the conveyor or material handling industry preferred • 3–5+ years in conveyor and/or material handling installation preferred • High School diploma or equivalent • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus • Valid driver’s license and ability to rent a car without a co-renter • Must be able to use a personal vehicle for most travel • Must have own hand tools to bring to sites • Ability to walk, kneel, crouch, and balance frequently • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, ramps, and similar structures frequently • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs occasionally • Ability to sit or stand frequently for long or intermittent periods • Ability to work around noise, moving mechanical parts, electrical power and control systems, and high places • Personal Protective Equipment required at active job sites • Up to 100% travel to various job site locations
