📋 Description

• Execute assigned projects from initial concept through bid documents and construction administration. • Manage mechanical design on multiple projects, establish priorities, and direct assigned designers. • Lead mechanical design and review engineers’ and designers’ work as Lead Engineer. • Manage and be accountable for technical quality of engineering tasks. • Develop project-specific technical reports, calculations, construction drawings, and technical specifications. • Evaluate and resolve problems using technical engineering practices and techniques. • Participate in project design and coordination meetings. • Communicate with other disciplines to incorporate all information into project requirements. • Interface with clients and participate in client meetings as lead mechanical engineer. • Perform construction administration, including site visits, field reports, submittal reviews, RFI responses, and mechanical change-order reviews. • Conduct and lead mechanical field surveys and prepare field reports. • Collaborate and coordinate with multidisciplinary internal and external architects and engineers. • Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering. • Professional Engineer License preferred. • Minimum 10 years of related experience in new construction, renovations, and/or additions. • Experience in hospitals and healthcare, military bases, government buildings and courthouses, research laboratories, central steam and chilled water plants, corrections facilities, and/or site utility infrastructure highly valued. • Knowledge of building codes and material design standards. • Proficient with REVIT, AutoCAD and Trane Trace load calculation software. • Capable of working individually, and in a team environment with the ability to thrive in collaborative work. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to solve problems and develop solutions. • Ability to effectively meet project deadlines and budgets at expected quality. • Travel to client sites as required. • Miller-Remick does not provide visa sponsorship or support. • Candidates are required to successfully complete a federal background check for security clearance.
