📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and execute scripts to extract, transform, and load data from source systems into target databases • Analyze source data structures, field mappings, and legacy databases to identify data quality issues, missing fields, and conversion bottlenecks • Collaborate with business analysts and clients to define data mapping rules and validate migration completeness and accuracy • Write scalable scripts and automated tools to streamline repeatable migration processes and reduce manual intervention • Maintain documentation of data conversion routines, mapping logic, and exception-handling procedures • Produce post-conversion reconciliation reports • Diagnose and resolve data discrepancies, transformation errors, and performance issues during testing and production cutovers • Uphold Milsoft’s values and philosophy regarding ethics, integrity, and corporate responsibility • Maintain regular, consistent, and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures • Perform other duties as necessary or occasionally assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or equivalent hands-on experience • Advanced scripting abilities in languages such as Python for data parsing and file manipulation • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, joins, and indexing (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server) • Experience working with diverse file formats, including JSON, XML, CSV, fixed-width files, and relational database dumps • Experience building, running, and/or maintaining ETL pipelines is desirable • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills to translate complex data mapping challenges into simple terms for non-technical stakeholders
