📋 Description

• Design and test defenses against fraudulent applications • Analyze application data to identify emerging fraud patterns and vulnerabilities • Design, build, and run A/B and Champion/Challenger tests for real-time fraud defenses • Translate test results into data-backed recommendations balancing risk and customer experience • Build and maintain dashboards tracking defense coverage, applicant friction and abandonment, and losses • Partner with Operations, Product, Data Science, and Engineering to improve fraud detection capabilities • Mentor less experienced analysts in fraud analytics judgment • Report to the Director, Fraud

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a highly analytical role, with the majority spent working directly with data rather than individual case decisioning • Experience conducting analytical work with credit cards or other consumer lending products • Hands-on experience designing and executing A/B or Champion/Challenger testing within an application or risk funnel • Ability to independently frame ambiguous questions, form hypotheses, analyze data, and defend answers with stakeholders • Strong familiarity with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative field, with strong academic performance • Ability to travel approximately 4–6+ times per year for high-quality in-person collaboration • Comfort working on undefined problems and framing analytical questions • Ability to communicate the story behind analysis, not just report numbers • Ability to own and defend conclusions while remaining open to being wrong
