📋 Description

• Shape content strategies balancing audience needs, editorial integrity, and sponsor goals • Edit articles, guides, and other personal finance content for clarity, accuracy, tone, editorial standards, and sponsor objectives • Work with internal and external teams to move projects from brief through publication • Write original personal finance content translating sponsor goals and product details into engaging, accurate copy • Optimize content for traditional search engines and generative AI search and answer engines • Fact-check financial claims, statistics, and product details for accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and disclosure requirements • Manage content timelines and prioritize editing and writing assignments to meet publishing deadlines • Stay current on personal finance trends, search behavior, and AI search developments • Provide feedback and editorial guidance to freelance writers and contributors

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • 5+ years of professional editing and/or writing experience • Experience ideally in a media, publishing, content marketing, or agency environment • Strong command of grammar, style and editorial best practices • Working knowledge of personal finance topics such as credit, banking, loans, insurance, and investing • Strong understanding of content discovery across search engines and AI-driven answer engines, including Google, ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity • Ability to balance a workload of roughly 60% editing and 40% writing across multiple projects simultaneously • Applicants must be available to work Eastern Time hours • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. • Money Publishing Group does not currently sponsor or transfer employment visas
